Paint Party Friday

This is my first time participating in Paint Party Friday. I'm trying to participate more in art blogs. There is an incredible amount of talent out there and I am really enjoying it so very much! This is a piece I did a little while back. I know that some people really dislike their freckles, but I have always thought them to be one of the most endearing parts of the human face. A face without freckles is indeed like a sky without stars!

As always this is available as a print or a card. Know anyone with freckles that would appreciate the sentiment?? I bet they would love this.

I also wanted to show you my latest piece, which is quite a departure from what I usually do. In black and white, not colour . . . I think it has come across as quite dramatic and I quite like it. This, too, is available as a print or card and let me tell you, the print is absolutely fabulous if I don't say so myself. I think I am going to more in black and white in the future. I really do like it.

Hop on over to the Paint Party Friday blog to see what everyone else is up to! There's an incredible amount of talent there!

The Lord's Promise, WOYWW

I was thinking of Easter yesterday and Spring, being as it was the first day of Spring . . . this is what came to mind. A little girl in her Easter finery, daffodils by her feet, holding a small, pure and innocent lamb . . .

Very symbolic of the Easter season. I think t'would make a beautiful Easter Card . . . and would also look beautiful framed and hung as a reminder of all that the Saviour did for us.

Message me if you are interested in a card or a print. I'll be happy to oblidge.

Thanks so much for looking!

I have entered this into this week's What's on Your Work Desk. Pop on over HERE to see some other great stuff that's on other people's work desks!

Once You Choose Hope

This is this week's entry into the Sunday Sketches. I am a great believer in hope, as you know. It is the driving force in my life. Where would any of us be without it!

This reminds me of the 13th Article of Faith in my church:

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, iovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

As usual this is available as a print or as a card! Thanks for looking!

This is my entry for this week's Sunday Sketches, hosted every Sunday over on The Blue Chair Diary blog. Click on the picture to go and have a look at some other fabulous artwork!

You are my happy . . .

My latest piece. I love the colours I chose for this one. I have always wanted a pair of red shoes. Red is happy to me. But this is about more than shoes.

People are my happy, especially the "special" people in my life. You know who you are.
(Oops just noticed I have dated this 2011, it isn't. It's 2012. Doh!!)

Available as a print or a card as always.

Putting this in on the Sunday Sketches. Click on the tree to see some more great artists!

Spring makes me think of balloons.

I have balloons on the mind lately it seems. I did this little gal the other day. I fell in love with her right away. That usually doesn't happen. It usually takes a few days for me to fall in love with my pictures.

I love the idea of sunshine balloons that you can carry with you wherever you go. It just makes so much sense to me! I bet everyone you gave one to would have a hard time not smiling!!

Anyways, these are my two newest designs and are as usual available as cards or prints or both! Thanks for looking!

Happiness Was Meant to be Shared

It is only in the sharing of our happiness that we can begin to feel it in full measure. Happiness shared seems to multiply!

Love the cheeky expression on her face. Not sure what the dog is thinking . . . but his tail is wagging, so it can't be that bad!

Available as a card or a print. Just message me to find out how.

Sharing this is Sunday Sketches. My very first time! See you there!

Three more new pieces . . .

It may not be easy to find sometimes, but it's there . . . the good in every day. I truly believe this to be so.

Alice in Wonderland, my favourite story as a child. First in my storybook girls.

Just a bit of inspiration on a winter's day. My friend Lura called my artwork, "Little Sermons." Sounds nice to me. Thanks Lura . . .

and Thanks Neesie!

That you would think me worthy of an award . . . well, it does my heart good.

Deep In their Roots

I saw this quote on a notebook the other day and couldn't wait to see what sprang from my fingertips to illustrate it. I was very happy with what I came up with. A cute little fairy. I think I love her boots most of all. So elfin and pointy. Her wings look as if they are just about to flutter . . . or could that be just me.

A close-up of her sweet little face and flower.

As usual available as a print or a card. Just message me to find out how.

I don't know if I told you or not but I also do special Baptism Commissions to help mark that special day in your loved one's life.

Here is a recent one that I did. It has a "portrait" of the little girl who was Baptised and also the nearest Temple to where they live. I include the name of the child, birthdate and Baptism Date. Also if they have a special outfit which has been purchased for the day I try to replicate as best as I can. These are one of a kind, original paintings. If anyone is interested you know how to get in touch!

A Couple More for 2012

I really like the way the shading turned out on the hair of this one. I've been really practicing shading lately . People say that it was ok all along, but I do like to play and to improve, so I hope that I have somewhat.

This sweet little girl is an important reminder to each of us that as long as we do our best each day, nobody can ask anymore from us. Love the purples and the placid, peaceful look on her face.

I just adore this one. I only rarely do little boys. I love the puppy next to him, with it's little tail wagging . . . just a bit! Little boys and puppies go together like peas and carrots and you can tell that these two are very comfortable with each other. Bestest of friends I would say!

As usual both are available as greeting cards or as prints.

My prints are 8 by 10 inches in size and perfect for matting and framing. Printed on supreme Quality Inova digital Fine art 100% cotton papers, Archival - Acid & lignen free, using HP Vivera Archival Inks.

They are signed and dated on the back. (if you'd like a different size just convo me.)

Copyright will not appear on the sold print.

I will ship it out - safe and sound - to you 1-3 days after your payment clears. I ship worldwide, firstclass, in a hard backed envelope suitable for mailing documents and fine art.

Cards are 4 by 6 inches, glittered or not as you desire. Blank on the inside for your own muse. Artwork is printed onto high quality art paper, once again as above and then mounted onto scrapbook papers and then mounted onto high quality linen textured card. All work is done by hand. The finished card is then placed into it's own clear poly envelope, along with a paper envelope for giving.

First designs of 2012

I guess I have love on my mind because Valentines Day is just around the corner. Love this little ones shoes and fancy leg warmers. Love the sentiment as well.

I tell myself this every day. It is easy sometimes to get mired down in our fears. We must always remember that we are special, each of us, in our own unique and wonderful ways. It is not being conceited to love ourselves. It is necessary . . . for if you cannot find it in your heart to think well of yourself, how can you ever think well of anyone else??? The problems come when you think TOO much of yourself.

As always available as greeting cards, notecards and or prints!
Thanks for looking!

Last Designs for 2011

Ive been rather busy in these past few weeks and am only now just getting around to posting these newest pictures of mine.

I fell in love with the Sentiment on this one and I think actually that this is the nicest one I have ever done. I'm actually kinda proud of this. It normally takes me a few days before a piece grows on me, but I loved this one right away. "Love Me" available as a print or a greeting card.

Just a closeup of the detail on that face. Don't you just love it? I do.

What is a friend. Loving this one two. Two dreamy friends, the best of friends, kindred spirit friends, forever friends. Again available as a print or a card.

That is my motto each day. I begin it with a grateful heart. I am happy just to be alive. Life is good, even in it's darkest moments. Again, available as a print or as a card.

A sweet wedding one, perfect for a bride and a groom. I love this sentiment from Emily Dickenson. I love all of Emily Dickenson's words. Available as a card or as a print.

I, too like to look at the stars and dream. Love the little bunny hanging on to her dress and her elfin boots. She is blowing stars out into the universe from her stance on the moon.

Detail in closer view. What do you think???

Again, available as a card or a print.

All prints are printed onto 100% Cotton Innova Digital Art Papers, Archival - Acid and lignen free, with HP Archival Vivera Inks and ship out within three days of your payment clearing. I'm on a Roll

Good friends. We all need them. We all cherish them. They make our lives better. The perfect gift for that special friend in your life.

I'm sure we all have a Diva in our lives that this would be perfect for!

Cherish each moment of your here and now.

One of my greatest lessons in life.

A woman has a right to be who she wants to be. Even if she changes her mind a bazillion times a day.

Just a bit of Inspiration for myself at the moment.

A few more pieces

She knew that she was formed by God's hands,
dreamed up in His heart,
and placed in this world
for a purpose.

I love these words. It's what I know to be true.

Those who don't believe in magic will never find it. ~Roald Dahl

Another bit of truth that I live in my life. I find magic everywhere, every day. Live it and love it!

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I have ended up where I needed to be.

Another bit of truth! Life is amazing. You never know what lies around each corner.

The moon and stars for someone you care about?

As usual all are available as cards or prints. Just message me to find out how.
